Goldstar TSR-900
The TSR-900 was a 3-piece ghettoblaster made by Goldstar in 1983. It is approximately 58cm long and weighs 6.0 KG without batteries. It has a 4-band tuner, a soft-touch cassette deck with CrO2 and Metal settings, and RCA inputs for Line In and Line Out. The speakers look like they're 3-way, but they're only 2-way. The third hole is fake, covered with black felt. Inside the speaker boxes are 11cm paper cone woofers and 4cm paper cone tweeters. Powering the speakers is a single Hitachi HA1392 amplifier chip. According to the Goldstar service manual, power output is 2x3.6 watts at 10% distortion.
The TSR-900 has FM/SW/MW/LW tuner bands, while the TSR-905 has FM/SW1/SW2/MW. To disassemble this boombox, just remove the 7 screws in back, which includes one in the battery compartment and another to the left of the Line In/Out jacks. You don't need to eject the tape door or remove any knobs.
